- Automatic mode uses tank flow: Collects substrate-surface debris and floating fine particles at the same time. Performance varies by placement and flow direction.
- Handheld mode is surface only: Clean slowly along the substrate surface. Never stir or disturb the deep layer.
- Recirculating filtration keeps water in the tank: Water returns to the aquarium while debris stays in the sponge filter. Remove waste without draining tank water.
- Air-lift suction reduces crushing: Lifts debris without crushing it to help reduce cloudiness. Powered by an air pump recommended at 1.5 to 2 W. Air pump not included.
- Critical setup + size selection: Choose by water depth from substrate to surface — Small (7–10.6 in), Medium (10.6–17.7 in), Large (13.8–23.6 in). Keep the sponge filter fully submerged and positioned about 0.4 inch below the water surface.
- Sponge cleaning: Use tap water, and always knead the sponge underwater. The 60 PPI high-density sponge captures fine particles, so clogging can reduce flow. Kneading helps flush out buildup and restore flow. Replace the sponge if flow does not recover after thorough cleaning.
- V2 upgraded parts: Soft-PE filter cap is easier to spot and helps reduce accidental loss during cleaning. The redesigned polycarbonate pipe connector provides a tighter, more secure fit.
