HAND BLOWN borosilicate glass, crafted to be thicker, stronger, non-porous and heat resistant. Can be heated up on a gas stovetop or electric range WITH the use of a trivet, to avoid shattering heat water gradually at a low temperature.
KYUSU STYLE (side pour teapot) was used in Japanese tea ceremonies but more popular amongst the geisha community. A geisha hostess would sit on a mat on the floor, with her legs tucked under her, and pour the tea from these lovely pots
